Kalna_Contract Signing (Small)


Tekken Corporation (Japan) – Abdul Monem Ltd. (Bangladesh) – Yokogawa Bridge Corp. (Japan) JV has Signed Contract Agreement with Roads and Highways Department for the Construction of 4-lane Kalna Bridge (Nielsen Lohse Arch type) on AH1 along with construction of 4.5 km access road and installation of toll collection system with toll both, Contract Package No.: A1 of amount BDT 9,598,459,906.92 (BDT 4,107,608,964.94 + JPY 1,697,809,765.27 + USD 52,462,510.12) on 24 June 2018. The project is jointly financed by the Government of Bangladesh and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).The bridge is 690m long having 150m long symbolic landscape with arch and cable shape (Nielsen Lohse Arch type) span. The project completion time is on 2021.

Receiving Award From H.E. Honarable President Abdul Hamid (Medium)

Government of the Peoples’ Republic of Bangladesh has once again recognized the management member of Abdul Monem Group for the milestone contributions in the industrial development of the country. MRT_Contract Signing (Small)


Tekken Corporation (Japan) – Abdul Monem Ltd. (Bangladesh) – Abe Nikko Kogyo Co., Ltd. (Japan) JV has Signed Contract Agreement with Dhaka Mass Transit Company Ltd. (DMTCL) for the MRT Line-6 (First metro rail project in Bangladesh),Contract Package No.: CP-05of amount BDT 18,546,970,403.00 (BDT 10,246,857,598.00 + JPY 8,533,098,589.00) for the Construction of 3.20 KM Viaduct and 3 Elevated Stations at Bijoy Sarani, Farmgate and Karwan Bazar) on 30 April 2018. The project is jointly financed by the Government of Bangladesh and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The project completion time is on 2021.

We proudly announce that Abdul Monem Sugar Refinery Limited, one of the leading units of Abdul Monem Ltd and a prominent sugar refinery in Bangladesh, has provided the highest revenue solely among the top 100 revenue providers in Chittagong Customs House Revenue Income List for the Fiscal Year 2016-17. The company has imported 2 lakh 90 thousand tonnes of sugar in the last fiscal year, with import value of Tk 1,093 crore. On the contrary, the revenue amounted to Tk 480 crore. For AM Sugar Refinery Ltd it is a milestone achieved and we believe in our foothold in playing important role in economic progress, creating employment and increasing national income.

The Czech Delegation of 11 members for the 136th Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Bangladesh led by Mr. Stanislav Grospic (Deputy Speaker of the Czech Parliament) and the Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic in Dhaka, Bangladesh, Mr. ASM Mohiuddin Monem had a call on with Her Excellency Sheikh Hasina, Honorable Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh at Prime Minister’s Office on April 05, 2017. During the call on they discussed various bilateral issues and areas of cooperation. Recalling the Czech support to Bangladesh’s liberation war the Prime Minister laid importance on avoidance of double taxation, forging economic cooperation and defense cooperation with Czech Republic to further strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries.
The Delegates also shared their great experience at the IPU Assembly and at the Honorary Consulate in Dhaka.
